So then, in the end, I am a person who pursues truth, honesty, and love in absolutely everything...and in every way. And this is a blog to reflect that journey.

High in the Italian alps, within the famous mountain range called the Dolomites, separating the Funes valley from the Gardena valley, sit the breathtaking Odle mountains. The Dolomites were declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in August 2009, and have been called some of the most beautiful mountain landscapes found anywhere in the world with its sheer cliffs, vertical walls, and deep valleys.

Life is full of them
All of us adorning them
These social agreements
This is best
This is acceptable
Sad that we fill
The need for acceptance
In such trite ways
As if it meant anything at all
Our bodies underneath
Whither and wilt away
So quickly
Until finally it
Decays
Along with our shells
Aren’t we more
Than this sectarian life?
Yet what is there to gain?
We toil day after day
No matter if
We value our souls
Dorning them
Same as everyone
Because there again
what are we fighting
Who has time to care
For pants and shirts
When we are committed
Instead
To walking every depth
Of the soul’s path?
Yet again
Sadnesses three fold
Are seamed in…
For only when
We’ve reached the end
Can we finally find
The utter depths
Of the soul’s longing
Only after then
Can we stop searching
And finally gain
Rest in the fullness of life
So then
How can creatures
Designed to long
For a world unseen
Ever find truth
Of themselves
And total fulfillment
Where they do not belong?
So now
In a fit of our desperation
We are forever linked
Until the dust blows
Mountains over our bodies
And we are utterly decayed
That it will cease to hold
sway over us!
Sad injustices
We wail in the night
And rail against
This unmovable wall
That we must wait so long…
To never see again
